Cotswold Style: Oasis features with wonderful feedback on our wedding decor

One of our clients from this year was recently interviewed for Cotswold Style's new supplment Wedding Style:

Jo writes in answer to the question"What one thing made your wedding day?"
"The whole theme and idea behind our wedding day came from our marquee lining and decor. We spotted a company on the internet called Oasis Tents, who supply Arabian linings and decor for marquees, and totally fell in love with the idea. We hired a plain clearspan marquee and Oasis filled it with colour and stunning, opulent soft furnishings. Our guests couldn't believe it! We separated off part of the the marquee as a bar/chill out area for those who wanted to relax and escape the music in the evening. Oasis filled it with ottomans, cushions and low brass coffee tables, rugs and bean bags. It was stunning."
Here are Jo's words in context:

what better feedback could we hope for?

MicroLoan Foundation: Supporting women in sub-Saharan Africa

One of the charities we have donated to this year is the UK-based charity http://www.microloanfoundation.org.uk/ which provides small loans, business training and continuing guidance to groups of women in sub-Saharan Africa. The MLF lend money to groups of women to help them build sustainable businesses, and by providing meaningful training and ongoing mentoring support.

Oasis was started by our female founder Biny Gregory 13 years ago, so our contribution to the ongoing support of women in business from a part of the world where our tents come from seemed very appropriate.

Childhood Memories: Blue Peter Garden / BBC Event

Photos taken on a mobile phone are never quite what they should be - here's a shot during the installation of one of our smallest tents in the Blue Peter garden last week!

There's more here on the row brewing over whether English Heritage will list the garden at http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/tv/2008/07/should_we_save_the_blue_peter.html

Summer visitors to London from the Middle East: Laylati at Knightsbridge

During the blistering heat of the Middle Eastern summer there is usually an exodus from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. Temperatures can reach a sweltering 40 °C over there, enough to have even the most hardened desert-dweller escaping to cooler climes.

Many of the heat exiles come to London for respite and some stay at the
Sheraton Hotel in central London where Oasis have recently transformed the terrace to a traditional Arabic themed setting. The inviting space will offer a wide selection of authentic Arabic foods, Arabic coffee and tea. Traditional delicacies will also be available including hummus, moutabel, kubbeh, fatayer and kofta, all created by the hotel's Lebanese chef, and a wide selection of flavoured shisha.

School Gym transformation - Summer Ball event decoration

Last week we transformed a school gym in Berkshire from this:

to this:

Another very satisfied customer for whom we transformed this enormous space. Rather than hiring a marquee they used an exisiting space which we dressed with our exotic linings for their Arabian nights event. This space comfortably seated 275 people, a dancefloor, bar, charity auction, and chill out area.

Brides Magazine - marquees uncovered

We have been featured in the latest Brides Magazine (http://www.bridesmagazine.co.uk/) titled ‘Marquees uncovered’. The article by Alice Braham looks at how you can create a magical space for your wedding.

For couples who don’t want a white wedding oasistents.co.uk is recommended. Its nice to know that Brides magazine think we create a rich luxurious feel and that the natural linings Oasis installs creates an event space “that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer” that works equally well in marquees, barns and other spaces.

Plastic Fantastic - paying for a beautiful tent and decor

With so many companies ending the use of cheques, many of our clients say that they do not have ready access to a cheque book anymore and would rather pay by card.

So by popular demand, you can now rent a tent from us with a credit card…

We accept the following:

Boringly we have to make an additional small charge for the use of credit cards, but debit cards are free.
